The ferrets: Two are eating and one is snoozing in an unknown location. He's not in the desk drawer, so I think he's under the couch, but I'm not sure. He'll turn up. This morning Sally, the littlest one, bit Gizmo, the smaller dog, twice that I know of. I am basing this on the yelps I heard. They were facing off, going around and around, and Sally's tail wasn't even fluffed up. Ferret tails stick out like bottle brushes when they're excited, and Gizmo doesn't warrant that. She can handle anyone - she thinks she's the head animal. Sebastian avoids Gizmo - not that he's afraid, necessarily. Sometimes, though, he's pretty much had enough of her harrassment and goes after her. He gets all big in the shoulders and puffs out his tail and stalks her. Gizmo dances backwards, glancing at us for assistance. Sally is like a fencer. Sebastian is more like a tank. Weather: Overcast, some showers. We were thinking that it'd be a good weekend to put in a bit of lawn, but it's too much work. Neither of us is feeling very well. Reading: Just finished a book by Charlotte Featerstone, a romantic/erotic one, that I read on my PDA. I wonder why there are so many typos and errors it'd be polite to refer to as typos in e-books? Surely an author who can research enough to do a period piece well could know that "then" is for time and "than" is for comparison? Are these scanned from paper manuscripts, and no one literate reviews them? Knitting: Christmas stuff. I remember when this kid was little like this. Now she's all officially grown up. That is so weird. She turned 21 yesterday. |
