The ferrets are: sleeping in the dog's blanket Weather: rainy Reading: just finished The TIpping Point, by Malcolm Gladwell. Now reading The Feeling Good Handbook, by David Burns. It's a workook that I'm not writing in because I don't like marking up books. It's about feeling good; talking yourslef out of feeling depressed, anxious, fearful, whatever. I'm reading the section on communication. Pretty good stuff. Knitting: caps Here is an interesting film from an atheist. It's pretty good. The narrator is obviously reading, though, and not reading real well. He says, "I care" over and over with the emphaasis on the "I" and it seems to me that it'd sound better if he sounded more natural. But the content is good. Tell me what you think after you watch it. Why an atheist cares about religion Hubby's looking for a new job, so if you hear of anyone looking for a computer operator or some other job that a man of his talents could fill (he's good at everything I've seen him try except resisting ice cream) let one of us know. Some animal has been eating tomatoes in our back yard. I saw this and tried not to think about it because it was obviously some rather large animal and we have a good fence. I didn't want to think about what might be getting back there deep in the night and ravaging my vegetables. Some things are too horrible to contemplate. But then yesterday I caught Maui, this innocent-looking dog of ours, with her face in the tomatoes. She looked sheepish when I laughed. |
