non-analytical vs. non-scholarly

non-academic vs. non-scholarly

most academic works are analytical and scholarly; not all scholarly works are footnoted/referencing works of analysis. delineate category for scholars' works that include study but not analysis of trends/whatever. most "classics" do not include "academic" refs, etc. (Analects, Constitution of Shotuku, The Prince, others.)
