Guruzilla's /var/log/knowledge-junkie ["the chatter of a missionary sysadmin"] 2005-08-28 9:32 AM Goodnight, ...New Orleans? Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: queasy |
Saw this link awhile back, and it crossed my radar again courtesy of One Hand Clapping: Hurricane Risk for New Orleans Bottom line, "KYAGB". Some models predict the French Quarter could end up under 20 feet of water, in the event of a Cat-5 hurricance, which Katrina might become. A nasty business, because if evacuations snarl, all the exit routes will be... flooded. No offense to the bystanders to either side of Nawlins, but I'm praying it doesn't go down like this, and NO can dodge the bullet one more time... |
