Whoot! I wrote a story!

Oh yeah, baby. I rock.

So, I had this story idea that basically came from a coworker who was annoying me this week at work. I got the idea mid-week, and was so excited by what a good story idea it was, I wasn't even annoyed at the coworker any longer -- hell, I was grateful!

Today, I had to do laundry. So, I put a load in, set the timer to go off when it was done, and sat down to write. When the timer went off, I changed over the loads of laundry, and came back, reset the timer, and wrote some more.

Four loads of laundry and a few thousands words later, and my story? It is finished!

Oh yeah!

I love it when I whip out a story in one day. The last story I wrote, (working title "Gaia"), was more or less completed in two days, but this last one (working title "Hypochondria") I wrote all in one afternoon!

Whoot! Go me!

No idea how good it might be. The idea was pretty kick-ass, so hopefully the execution does it justice. I still have to go through my story cycle with it -- love being done, having written, then hate it, think it's crap, then have Tim read it and tell me it's good (or will be with a bit of revision), revise, hate it, revise, feel ok about it, copy edit, send it out. More or less, that's what happens next.

I still need to revise "Gaia", though, so it might be awhile before this one is ready. We'll see.

But, hey, I wrote a story!

Whoot!
