Of Interest to Franklin College Folks

I think there might be about three of you reading this, but this post is mostly for folks who went to Franklin College with me.

First of all, a HUGE congrats to my friends Daniel and Kristin on the birth of their first child, Gabriele Marie, born Sat. at 7 am (7 lb. 9 oz )! Daniel and Kristin are two of the nicest people I've ever known, and I know they're going to make excellent parents! Good job, you two! I can't wait to see baby pictures -- they're also two *very* attractive people, and I'll just bet the youngin' is cute as all get-out!

And, next, Todd now has a livejournal. Those of you who remember fondly his Duck Flambe articles will probably enjoy reading his journal. It's a nice mix of day-to-day life, political ranting, sweet cat entries and computer tech (the last being the only ones that don't quite draw me in the way the rest do, mainly because Todd's way more savy than I am). Todd's one of my all-time favorite people and I'm thrilled to have a semi-regular dose of his writing.

I have no news about Kellie and Brian other than that they're co-editing the Trading Spaces books last I heard (most FC people know this, I think). I should really try to call them again; I miss them. Recently, when our friend Jenn hung out with me and Tim, it reminded me of hanging out with Keillie and Brian (how a single person sometimes clicks so well in a friendship with a couple, is what I'm getting at here). It's been far too long since I've made it back to visit Indy, and they're in Iowa now anyway, so they might not even be around when I did. Sadness!

The story I'm working on now is sort of set in Province Park and reminds me of many late nights we all spent there in college. Nostalgia!

Finally, if anyone has any contact info for Craig, I'd appreciate it if you could shoot me an email. The holiday chapbook I sent him bounced and I can't seem to get a hold of him.
