I'm feeling much better. Not entirely healed, but better.

I'm so sick of being sick. So sick of it, in fact, that I sort of ignored the fact that I've been really sick this weekend and just acted as if I haven't been.

Ugh. I'm freaking exhausted.

So, Saturday I got up, balanced my checkbook, moaned about money and then suggested to Tim that we go up to Berkeley to check the PO Box and work in a cafe. My ulterior motive was that I really needed to finish a story that was due last week, but which I didn't get done in time because of the pneumonia (I had it half done, but couldn't face finishing it while I was sick). I dragged my laptop along so I could type in what I'd already written before continuing on in the story. My laptop is old. My laptop is heavy. I wanted a nap by the time we made it to the cafe.

Anyway, I managed to finish the main crux of the story at the cafe, yay! Then, home, where I for some reason decided I needed to clean the bathroom top to bottom in one go. It took longer than usual, and it probably wasn't as good a job as I usually do, but I did it.

Only then did I collapse on the couch to watch a movie (I Capture the Castle, which was really good).

Today, the air was warm outside. Gorgeous. I took down a load of laundry, then got out the hammock and set it up. Reclined in the hammock and wrote the interstitial bits of my story; that position is really very good for laptop typing, as my wrists weren't even bent at all. In between loads I read and responded to some Flytrap submissions; I'm way behind on these, partially because I suck but mostly because I didn't get anything done in the past week or so.

Several times during the day I was shaking with hunger or exhaustion, but it felt so damn good to be accomplishing things. It was also amazing and relaxing to be outside, so it almost made up for it.

Anyway, I'm about to go to bed. I did all the laundry today, plus I swept the floor sand even edited the story. I'm tired. My head has hurt all day long. But, damn, it's nice to almost be able to breathe normally again.
