Three years ago today I met Tim Pratt for the first time. We met at my front door. I was having a brunch for Nalo Hopkinson on behalf of Strange Horizons and was suffering from a lot of nervous energy/ excitement over having Nalo in my house, so Tim thinks I didn't notice him too much. But I did. He just noticed me more. I remember, as we were all getting ready to go up to Berkeley for Nalo's reading, stopping Tim near the door to my bedroom and telling him I liked his poetry. I must have read up on him/ his webpage before the brunch.

A few days later, after asking Mary Anne if I'd mind such a thing, Tim wrote me email. Then we started writing long emails back and forth.

I suppose I really should save the rest of the story for April 28th, which is our official anniversary, at least until we finally get married.

Anyway, happy Heather meeting Tim day! I hope you're all wearing green to celebrate!
