I've been trying to come up with a coherent reaction to the whole mess in Iraq/ the war/ torture/ beheadings. I start off talking about how I can't believe I'm hearing the phrase "they were just blowing off steam", and then I start sputtering with rage. My attempts are not publishable. I'm too sad, scared and angry.

Thank god for Tempest. She rants the way I want to, but can't about this whole mess.

I'll just second her very eloquent sentiment here for those of you who don't end up following that link.

What the FUCK is wrong with the people in this country?
