Sunday - Found a hairdresser close to where we're getting married, had a consolation, made an appointment for a trial run (next Sunday!). I also bought hair doo-dads so it will be sparkly! We also booked our (decadent) honeymoon in Hawaii. I can't wait for the honeymoon!! Monday - Ordered our wedding bands! They arrive in 3 weeks. Called Karen's sister Gail (thanks for the tip, Karen!). Even though she can't do our cake, I got tips on decorating a cake myself to make it more affordable. Tuesday - Got the name of the bakery where Richard got his INCREDIBLY delicious chocolate birthday cake last year. Ordered the same cake, only bigger. It's the only cake that Tim likes, so it seems appropriate. Richard and I made a date to get together and make cake decorations we can add to it, but even if that falls through, it will be a memorable, delicious cake. Yay! Today - Am going shopping tonight for a tiara and other wedding effluvia. It helps, slowly crossing stuff off my list like this. My bachelorette party is a week from Saturday, and we're starting at a drag show, which should be a blast. I'm very excited! I think I'll make centerpieces this Saturday, especially if there's a miracle and the backyard is no longer a rubble-filled construction zone. Which it will still be. I can do them inside, but it'd be nice to be able to *use* the patio during the summer months... I need to find some quiet, contemplative time in which to write my vows. I'm excited and nervous about writing our own vows, and I'm glad we're having someone check them for us, to make sure they're comparable. We saw that episode of Friends last night where the girls read Monica's vows and the guys read Chandler's, and the girls are going "awwww" while the guys are laughing their asses off. Tim turned to me and said, "This is your nightmare, isn't it?" Heh. Ok, enough for now! Ta! Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
