2008-02-14 11:14 AM My Office People might think I'm nuts, but I love working at St. Mary's as a cook.
I think it must be my basic nurturing nature and food has often equated love in my home. Whether it's for family, friends, or the good & kind visitors at St. Mary's, cooking has become a form of prayer, meditation, and love for the people about to partake. The cadence of chopping provides a comfort to me for reasons I can't explain. As I stir up a meal, the aromas and sizzlings and cracklings and bubblings bind together and land with satisfaction in this woman's heart. Anyway, here are pictures of my office and its view. BTW, mucho money has been raised and St. Mary's will be razed over an extended period as a new and state-of-the-art facility rises from its hallowed sod. In the meantime, I adore my wonderful and simple little kitchen. Below are pics.
