2008-10-17 10:39 PM Serenity This weekend I'm attending another retreat. It will be livelier than most because there are 60+ AA women attending. It's incredibly wonderful!
I applied for a job that doesn't start until December some time, which is perfect. The only person who will grasp the goodness of the opportunity is Stace because of his 4-year stint on the mountain. You did do it in four years, didn't you? Anyway, a new position of Office Manager has been created at The Monteagle Sunday School Assembly, which was established in 1882. I'm not certain, but The Monteagle Assembly might be the only remaining Chautauqua. I lifted this info from the Internet: Chautauqua was a religious movement that began in 1874 on the shores of Lake Chautauqua in northern New York. Monteagle Sunday School Assembly was modeled after Chautauqua in 1882 and continues to drive its programming based on the original model. Today, The Monteagle Assembly is still a place where families spend the summer in a beautiful environment attending programs, movies, and concerts, and engaging in other activities. This facility is the only one of its kind. In 1982 the Assembly was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. I know I’ll be interviewed, but like many, I stand on quicksand. The other thing, too, is that I won't work for an unacceptable salary. I've enjoyed my part-time temporary jobs a lot, but I'm ready to get into the grind again. Until then, I take care of adorable animals and next week I'm cooking for Julia. TGIF to you all! Reenie at St. Mary's Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
