2008-11-01 11:39 AM Strings to my Heart Fall has been beautiful on the mountain, but not as beautiful as last year. It's been suggested that the pretty colors last year were the result of the drought we had and still continue to suffer at a lesser degree.
I had an interview for a job that I would like. It's a new position being created for a community in Monteagle. The location is nifty and I'm qualified. I interviewed well mainly because I wasn't nervous. I'm very comfortable with myself, who I am and what I represent and project. Consequently, I meet people easily. My forthright honesty is a big plus too. I don't pretend to be someone I ain't. This approach generally works for me. I also tend to be rather philosophical about job interviews: if it's meant to be, it's meant to be. I'll keep you posted. Tonight I attended a string quartet performance at St. Luke's Chapel on Sewanee's campus. It's a small building - a gem. I arrived alone, but immediately caught up with delightful friends. The evening's program was eclectic. Contemporary selections from John Adams' "Book of Alleged Dances" to Beethoven's String Quartet in F Major, op. 135. It was a lovely evening.
