A Wrinkle or Two or Three or...

I had a busy day with lots of frivolity and friends.

This evening I'm at my desk talking to my mother. Many of you already know that for manymanymany years I've called my mother every single night. There was a bare patch a few years back when she had a particularly bad psychotic moment and we didn't talk for over a year. I've lived with her mental illness my whole life and am pretty adept at handling her craziness, but there are times she spins so far astray in her mind, that not even I am able to reel her in. Her illness also explains my compassion for others who are mentally ill, but even then I have my limits.

Anyway, here I am yakking with her. She was telling me she was lonely, and that always breaks my heart - enough so that I am now often calling her twice each day. No one should ever feel alone... ever.

Hoo Boy, as The Cowguy would say, this particular photo is brutal. Hey - but at least I'm honest and real. Why did I ever swear to never do plastic surgery!

BTW, The Cowguy's site is one of my most favorite places to visit. He spins the most delightful real life stories. I often laugh out loud. Even though he's a cowguy, his truths resonate with me - there's always a common denominator to his hilarious stories that I identify with. Pink Bandaid - Hahahahah. Oh, sorry, was just remembering one of his stories going back a few posts. It's worth the trip to read about it.
