2013-03-05 9:01 PM Bingeing This entry is all about bingeing on Javier Mayoral.
Below are a few of his paintings I have. I can't recall when I bought my first, but I liked his wit, his edge. I recently commissioned a painting with him. Mind you, though he's an amazing artist, we're not talking MoMA prices here. His star is rising, though. It's rising high and like many artists I've collected over the years, I won't be able to afford him in the very near future. Javier and I have a precious friendship. There's a creative kinship. His side of the street is wilder than mine, but we still have a certain daring in common. When I'm around creative people, I feel better understood. Don't get me started or I'll have to get into the bourbon tonight. I've also added a few of Javier's videos. I am so in love with this artist. He doesn't even know he has courage... he was born at the right time. The video of Raymond Rousell best represents the person Javier is - and the man I respect so much. P.S. His videos are on a loop, so you might want to stop when one is finished, then go on to the next I've posted. Or listen to them all! > Read/Post Comments (9) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
