The Entrees

So, I posted about the dessert in my life. It's only fitting that I post about the entrees, the main courses, the main events!

Chase and Rachel were born 18 months apart. Fourteen years later, David arrived. He never knew what a wet diaper was. He had four doting parents.

The saddest day ever ever for David was when we delivered Rachel to UOP (University of the Pacific). He was bereft. They were so very close. Still are... despite the event when a policeman questioned why very young David refused to wear a seatbelt.

Chase was an ornery older brother but his episode of Nerf Basketball with David continues to be legendary at Laguna Beach High School... well, at least in our family.

Chase attached the suction cup for the hoop to his forehead so David could play basketball. With Chase ducking and weaving and David having a blast, they played for a looooong time. The circular red mark left in the middle of Chase's forehead lasted even longer. I gave him a hall pass from school the next day, but he squared his shoulders... and became a legend.

I am happy to have such splendid children. What a feast!

In support of PBS, we bid and won a portrait by a fine photographer in Kansas City
