I constantly feel like I'm behind much more creative people and need to catch up somehow.
It's the psychological equivalent of those dreams where you need to run but can't, and you're frustrated at your lack of, well any progress whatsover. I feel like that a lot. Mostly because I know and work with much more talented people than myself. Writers, filmmakers, artists, people who's spare-time hobbies make me look like the uncreative toad that I am. It's inspiring in a way, to be around these people, but frustrating in the way it shows my own inadequacies. It certainly makes me appreciate those who have a creative vision and are able to bring it to fruition. --------------------- Along those lines, go out and buy some stuff from a webcomic today. Or buy some music directly from an artist's website. Let's show some appreciation for those people striving to do something cool, and cut out the middleman who sucks most of the money out of the deal before it gets to who really deserves it. And if you can't do that, at least try buying some used stuff. You get to recycle and stick it to our corporate overlords at the same time. How can you go wrong?
