Misc. thoughts:
The news always covers any little problem with the space program, but I don't see quite the coverage over the Mars rovers lasting three times past their expected mission length. If we're going to cover the negative in such detail, we certainly should give some credit to all the hard working people who are making things go well too. Shamble, don't walk to see Shaun of the Dead. It's a good zombie movie, with a lot of funny bits and some actual heart too (and not just a heart ripped out of someone). It's the kind of film that should be supported: Well-written, performed and not sinking under the weight of an overblown budget. I was heartened to see zombies of all ages, colors and creeds, even disabled zombies, all staggering through the streets of London. It was like one united undead world. :) Oh, and best use of one of my favorite Grandmaster Flash songs. In an ever increasing electronic society, it's nice to be able to sink your hands into actual physical crafts once in a while. Forcing yourself to put down the mouse, and pick up a brush, scissors or pencil and do something actual is I think an important part of keeping your brain functioning and your creativity increasing. And as much as we might think we know things, there's always something new to learn, often from unexpected sources. There's a company that offers to send an email from you after your death. Why would you want that? If you had the presence of thought to arrange that, why wouldn't you just say what you had to say while you lived? I hope that before I go, whenever that day happens, I will have left nothing unsaid that needed to be said. Kinda goes back to the regret thing.
