2005-02-07 9:22 AM Male attentions... Mood: clinical Read/Post Comments (0) |
Since changing my work environment and moving, several young, reasonably pretty girls have been placed into the same area that I'm working in.
And with that, numerous men have make regular rounds on any excuse to visit and talk with them, sometimes on work issues, but mostly not. Never having been a pretty girl, or boy for that matter, it's interesting to watch. I've been here long enough to establish a baseline on the area. I know when it's loud, who's loud, how many people come through, when there are regular crowds passing by for regular meetings, all the ebbs a flows of a normal work week. So this specific upswing, first with one girl, then with a second, has been pretty obvious, at least to me, and I can assume anyone in the hallway who's been here at least as long as me. I know one other person around me has mentioned it. Mostly it makes me wonder what the girls think. Do they know? Are they used to it? Has this flattering attention happened for so long that they don't even think about it anymore? Or do they encourage it somehow? I think for some people it's just the way their life is, and it has been long enough that it doesn't even register, and if you asked them about it, they wouldn't even know what you're talking about. And since I've never really paid attention, does the same thing happen with guys? Or is it a male thing to just keep wandering by someone's desk and making excuses to talk to them. And how often do I do such a thing? Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
