2005-11-04 11:45 PM Bad Beer, Good Pizza, and NaNoWriMo - Day 4 Mood: Content Read/Post Comments (2) |
Speaking of Matchbox Twenty, I really hope they get back together. I know when Rob Thomas decided to do a solo album, they said it was just a break, so I'm hopeful. I'm not crazy about his solo stuff, but I love this album. Anyway... I worked from home today, as I do on Fridays. It was nice sleeping until 7am and laying in bed in half sleep until 8am. It was great going to Taekwondo and doing many pushups, situps, and stance drills. I'm sore, but I feel good. And it was a quiet afternoon workwise. I had my first guitar lesson tonight, and I really enjoyed it. I'm actually doing better at playing than I'm willing to give myself credit for. At least, the teacher said so. His name is Dave. As is our Friday ritual, my son and I went to Round Table for a pizza dinner. This is a nice ritual, because we both like pizza. Mary usually stays home, cliaming it's guy time. Ben usually plays video games while I read and drink a beer. We eat. We go home. Round Table is not well run, though. It was crowded again. It was more unorganized, with nobody bussing tables, nobody filling up the napkin dispensers. And the Bud they served me tasted flat. I asked them about it, but they assured me it was a good keg. A man at the next table also had a Bud, and he said he thought it tasted bad. And he used to work for Budweiser. Anyway, the pizza was good. I was tired, but I persisted and WROTE ANYWAY. I managed to clean up the scene I wrote last night to make it better, and wrote the next scene, and some notes about the next few developments. Progress is good, as I have written four days out of four. But my daily count is going down. I'm hoping I can bring that up this weekend.
