My Fantasy Football team, the Ninjas, are now 3-7. We won last week, beating the Afghanies by a score of 118-101, but we lost this week to Bustedlip by a narrow margin 136 - 132.5. Which is pretty good considering they are in second place. Perhaps if I had played Carson Palmer instead of Philip Rivers. Both had stellar days. Maybe if I could buy a decent defensive player. This week we play Daromat, who are 2-8.

I'm finding ou more and more that life is always going to get in the way of writing. It's up to us to take back the time. Not wait for waiting time, but MAKE writing time. God knows I've said that enough different ways.

NaNoWriMo is a challenge to write a book in one month. I like the idea, but I am not optimistic that anything that long that I write that fast will be too good. And yes, I know I can't write that many words in a month.

I'm just trying to do my best. I managed to pound out my latest scene tonight, rather late. I finished Chater 6. And now I need to paw through notes to see which scene comes next. At some point, probably tomorrow, I need to get rid of my "notes" -- which are basically old drafts with red marks on them, and scraps of pages from spiral tablets. The folder that contains these notes is almost too thick to fit in my laptop bag. And everytime I paw, I get a bit overwhelemed, discouraged, confused. So I'll try to keep the pawing to a minimum, and just write, write, write.

Went to my 25 year high school reunion on Saturday. And now you know how old I am. It was fun. Not a big turnout. But still a good time. Good people.

Got home late (early) to find the front door ajar, and a cat missing, though it wasn't the cat that knows how to open the front door. So I looked for him before I went to sleep, and again most of Sunday. He finally appeared on the back porch around 7pm, no worse for wear, hungry and tired, with no explanation as to his wherabouts while he was AWOL.

But he was home safe and sound, and we were relieved and happy.
