A Peaceful Place To Be

The days I have been waiting for all year!!! The Sixth Annual Scottish/Irish Festival!!! Been to every one of them. Never can get enough.
The 1st year they had about 50,000 people show up. Last year that number jumped to 250000. And I know why. They have everything.
At least 10 bagpipe marching bands. The Irish dancers. The Scottish dancers. All the great musician. From classical to modern. A outdoor concert tonight. The dogs hearding sheep competition. THE HIGHLAND GAMES!!! The arts. The crafts. THE FOOD!!! The SCA. Live steel demos. The plays. THE FOOD!!! Did I mention the FOOD!!! Been thinking about getting an Irish tin whistle. Kind of like a flute.
I am gonna take TONS of pictures. Hoping to do some paintings. If anyone is interested I'll set up a website with the pictures.
I almost forgot. Nessie and her baby will be there again. Can't forget Nessie. Sweet Nessie.
It is supposed to be a gorgous weekend. I guess someone upstairs knows how much I LOVE this festival. It is gorgous every year. Wonder who they pay off to always get good weather?
Well, it is 8 am here and the festival starts at 10 and runs all weekend. I'll try to step in with updates tho. And i'll try to send some of the fun your way.
