For the last two and a half days I have been babysitting my youngest niece and nephew (2 1/2 and 4). Now I have baby sat for them over night and many other times before. But this time, oh this time. I learned many new things this time.

1. Finger paint is wrongly named. Finger paint never ever is just on fingers. It should be named hand paint or arm, leg, foot, sometimes ear paint, but never just finger paint. That is a big fat lie.
2. "Aaaats" is a word. A very important word. It means I am hungry. I need a kleenex. I want to watch cartoons. Change the channel. I want that toy. Chase me. Tickle me. Help me I am choking. And a variety of other things.
3. No matter what the child says he or she wants to eat they will decide they want something else to eat, but only after you have completely prepared and sat out the first thing.
4. Padded bras are a necessity if you have nipple rings. They will protect your nipple rings from children walking across you, children tickling you, children throwing balls, frisbees, cars, or books at you. I highly recommend one for those with nipple rings. Male or female. Don't be stupid.
5. Kissing and tickling a child at the same time is a bad idea. The child will inevitably wiggle and squirm and you will be smack in the mouth by their head. Then you will bleed. The child will cry saying they killed you. Big mess. Needs candy to fix.
6. Candy fixes everything (see above).
7. If you are in one room and the children are in another room and there is no screaming or crying coming from that room it means the room is being redecorated.

Seth and I made snow ice cream today while Kiera was sleeping. Kiera is the one who's favorite word (other than "yup") is Aaaaats. Her other favorite thing is for me to pick her up and chase Seth. Which is his favorite thing, so I am greatly out numbered there. We "Finger" painted yesterday. Which was whole hand painting and Kiera painted her pants and the sheet and part of the fire place and some carpet. She did manage to get some on the paper. Seth also was whole hand painting. They both were walking through it so there were footie prints every where. Seth got the bathroom counter, the wall, his eye, and the couch. And THAT was the most sane part of the whole day yesterday! But I had a great time. I love them both so much. And Rani and I had bonding time last time and that was really really nice. I am glad that we got to.
