We're back from vacation. While we were away, Marc turned 2! Marcelo taught him to say he's two. :)

Marcelo: "What's your name?"
Marc: "'Celo!"
Marcelo: "How old are you?"
Marc: "Two!" (holding up one finger)
Marcelo: "In Spanish!"
Marc: "Dos!"

He was obsessed with counting while we were away. In English he likes to start with six. He always forgets ten, he likes eleven (which sounds like "ehweggy") so he repeats it a few times, and can go up to fifteen. In Spanish he starts with cinco and can go up to nueve (5-9). He knows some of the other numbers but knows those in sequence best.

His language skills have also exploded. He's practically carrying on conversations now. He uses longer sentences much more now. One thing that really amazed me was one day after my dad had gone out in the sailboat, when he got back Marc asked him "Boat fun?" My dad thought it was amazing that he was asking questions, but he's been doing that for awhile. What I thought was interesting was that it was a purely socializing question, something to involve someone else in conversation. It wasn't just a question about whether he could do something or have something.
