Registration for Kindergarten is next Monday. I can't believe Marc is going to be in Kindergarten! The elementary school he's going to be attending is just about 3 blocks away (but on the other side of the freeway). So on Saturday, we drove by it to show him where he's going to be going to school in the fall. We pulled into the parking lot and Marcelo said "Look at that big field to play in and the cool playground..." and Marc chimed in "and a bench to sit and read a book!" That's my son. :)

He is so excited about going to Kindergarten and taking the bus and everything. I'm really glad. And we're very lucky - the school he's going to is considered the best elementary school in a good district. It's mostly because of lots of parent participation, but also all of the teachers are fully credentialed and there are decent class sizes, and... we're not part of LAUSD. ;)
