So when we went to the states for a month back in Jan/Feb, we stopped using so much gas, yes?

Well apparently the gas company gets suspicious and couches it in terms of consideration.

They sent an extra message with the bill saying "are you okay? we noticed you used significantly less gas this past cycle..."

But it didn't stop there. Then a few weeks ago (so this is already past the next billing cycle) a lady comes to our door and rings the bell.....right during the girls' naps.

I answer the door, she starts talking about how my gas bill was so low. I told her "we went to the states." Then she asks "when did you go". I didn't remember the exact dates so I told here "end of january, beginning of february." She asks me again for the exact dates.

I ask her why she needs such personal information? she backs off and smiles and says something like "we just noticed your gas consumption was down."
