2007-01-04 8:38 PM Japanese Lullaby recommendations I made a website called Mia's Bicultural Bedtime as part of an assignment for an ED Tech class I took online through University of San Diego. I still get emails from people occasionally regarding the lullabies I recorded or about co-sleeping.
I just got another email from a Japanese guy wanting recommendations on Japanese lullaby CD's, so I thought I would record my answer here in case someone asks me again: I wish I had a better answer to your CD question. I just ask Baba to send children's music in Japanese. "Yoiko no douyou" has a couple of lullaby type songs on it, as well as another CD called "sekai no komoriuta spesharu". I think the best one is Oyasumi It has "nene kororiyo" as well as a hauntingly beautiful okinawan lullaby. On the American Amazon.com site I found: Mother's Songs sung by a male countertenor in simple, piano-acccompanied versions. and the planet sleeps (which contains "itsuki no komoriuta" which I like very much) Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
