2007-02-07 6:07 PM Television crack OKay, so living in Japan weaned me off tv. (you find other stuff to do when it's not just a matter of vegging in front of the tv. Understanding Japanese programs took brain power)
I used to watch hour after hour of tv in the evening, and during the last month of my pregnancy with girl1, I practically lived with the food and scifi channel all day. However, I am slowly getting back into certain shows that I MUST SEE. These are the shows that produce that certain "feeling", you know what I mean? Like a crush or an emotional yearning or something. Now that Lost is back, here is the official lineup: Sunday: 8pm The Dresden Files So okay, I hate the scifi channel ever since they canceled Farscape, but I love those books. So far it's going okay. Monday: 9pm Heroes I so so so didn't want to get sucked into this one. But really, who can resist Hiro or brooding brother of the flying politician? Tuesday: 9pm Veronica Mars Can't explain it. It just produces that feeling in me for some reason. Wednesday: 9pm Lost Surely I need no explanation for this one? It rocks. So the usual pattern on my tv program days is that Naoto puts the girls to sleep, I write/edit until the program is one. He gets up, plays computer games or "works" (truthfully I can't tell the difference between those two activities when he's doing them) while I watch my program. Afterwords, he gets to watch what he wants to while I sit next to him and play on my laptop and/or slightly pay attention. It works for us.
