Ok, I just got something REALLY cool... it's very geeky, but well, read the journal title and accept it.

What you are looking at is, in very simple terms, the Internet. The edge of the circle represents points around the earth (notice the location names on the edges), and each of the squares are internet backbone sites (technically known as "Autonomous Systems"). So, put simply, this is a map of the big points on the Internet and all of the connections between them.
It's really interesting, the very dense spot at the bottom represents North America, which makes sense because we are home to most of the Internet.
