This weekend was full of people and parties. Saturday night Jenn and I went over to Shelley's place for a dinner party. She decided it might be fun to invite a whole mess of people over and cook a bunch of Indian food. I met about 8 or 9 new people and there were 2 others I had previously met. We had a really good time talking about so many different things, and the food was just incredible. Kudos to Shelley!

Sunday we went over to my brother Stuart's house for my nephew Joel and my niece Alyssa's birthdays'. I'm pretty sure the kids liked the presents we got them, so that's good. There was lots of talking, some football watching and a somewhat painful party game stuck in between it all. Unfortunately, every one in my family (including myself) likes to talk more than listen, so these group activities can get out of hand. Nonetheless, we both had a really good time.

Now I move into the new week. This week begins with something I've never done before... filing for unemployment. Some people I've talked to in the past feel a little ashamed about unemployment, but not me! :) This is why I pay taxes! I help out people who are out of work when I have a job, now it's time for payback. :)
