The Darkness Lifts
I haven't been posted messages as frequently as usual recently because I've been in a bad place, mentally.
It's hard to describe, but I sort of became helpless. I had like 20 small bad things all just stack up on me. Normally when I'm pretty much a "take on the world", "solution oriented" kind of guy, but it all kind of turned off. The commute in heavy traffic, frustration trying to learn C++ again, frustration with the integration at work, frustration trying to get my new laptop work the way I want, hurting people in my martial arts class, etc.
Jenn and I talked a long time and a lot of crying later, I feel a lot better. My mindset is a lot brighter... things are looking up.
On another note, next week I'm flying up to Google HQ and working there for most of the week. I'll try to post little entries while I'm there and share the coolness of it all.
