Residual Conferance Effect

Part of the Black Sash ettiquette that we learn is to turn away from Black Sashes when drinking (most importantly alcohol). I've heard a couple of different reasons including "... that way if you stop turning away and ignoring the rules, they know you're drunk."

So, being the lowest ranking member of the conferance, I was turning away from everyone when drinking water or gatorade, etc. I'm sitting here at my desk in front of my computer and every time I go drink my Sobe or my water I flinch ever so slightly to turn to the side before I drink.

*sigh* Talk about muscle memory.

A bonus residual effect though... we went to lunch just now and I ate probably 1/3 of what I normally eat and I'm painfully full. Maybe this will help me slim down!
