2003-08-06 9:41 AM Sherman Austin: Jailed for Free Speech The media hasn't been talking about this much and it makes me nervous.
Sherman Austin, a 20 year old guy from LA, is the webmaster for an anarchist website called http://www.raisethefist.com/. He has been sentenced to 1 year in prison and 3 years probation for putting links on his site to other web pages that describe how to make a bomb. How was this case not throw out due to the right to free speech? This kind of case, and the lack of case for Jose Padilla, is what we really need to watch out for in these times.
