Apocolypse Why?
I just watched Apocolypse Now Redux which is essentially an extended version of Apocolypse Now. I think it's a well made movie, but I have to say I didn't really enjoy it. I realize that it's surreal quality is intentional because it is trying to portray a surreal landscape... I just didn't enjoy it.
I see now though that The Thin Red Line _desperately_ wanted to be Apocolype Now.
The essential difference being that while I didn't enjoy either of them, making Apocolype Now involved talent.
Meh. Watching mind numbing TV for too long, working on Java projects too long, still not sleepy. :/
