Squaw Valley!

The greatest thing about working for Google is that they firmly believe a happy employee is a more productive, creative employee.

Thursday we all climbed on a plane and then a bus to the Squaw Valley Resort in Lake Tahoe. It was absolutely awesome, an utterly beautiful place.

There were lots of activities to choose from, I decided on the Snowboarding Lesson and Lift ticket. :) It was a ton of fun, we had a really great instructor. I'm not actually an Intermediate Snowboarder, I've only been riding once before and I took the beginner lesson then. However, I didn't want to go through the Beginner lesson again and learn how to stand up and turn etc. It turned out that the 3 other people in my group were in the same position, so our Instructor gave us the "almost intermediate" lesson. :) It was good stuff, I fell down a lot and went down a pretty scary run (intermediate run!). I fell a LOT during that ride and it finished me off for the day. :)

I cleaned up back at the hotel and hung out with friends before dinner. There was an 80's cover band there and we did quite a bit of dancin'. Best part of the day though had to be hanging out in Peisun's hotel room with a couple of a good people, talking and rappin'. We had some Snoop, Tupac, Dre, even a little Biggie... My body started to shutdown from sheer exhaustion about 1am so I limped back to my hotel room and collapsed.

The next day was filled with more good people, sitting in the outdoors hot tub WHILE it was snowing (awww yeah), more good food and some gaming.

And did I mention it was amazingly beautiful up there? I was struck by it several times while walking from place to place. It was SUCH a good time, I'm not doing it all justice. I had SUCH a good time. :) :)
