I got to experience the craziness of Lady Vashj in Serpentshrine Cavern for the very first time this weekend! It's NUTS! :D Tons of fun though and I anticipate that my group can have her down in 2 weeks. It's a 3 Phase fight: Phase 1 is easy, Phase 2 is a nightmare, Phase 3 is very similar to Phase 1 but harder. We made it half way through Phase 2 on our first try, so I foresee us progressing quickly on this fight. :) Totally neat stuff!

In addition to that.... the 2.4 patch is released today! That brings some really great bug fixes, UI improvements and such, but more importantly brings 2 new dungeons and a bunch of new quests and magic items! :D I've been stockpiling Badges of Justice in preparation for this so I am stoked!

One of the things that especially tickles me about the new quests is the I'll be able to have a hand in unlocking the new quests. Most of the world is very very static. The quests are all available to everyone of the appropriate level and the land doesn't change much. For the next week or so that isn't true. The armies of Shattrath are going to begin an offensive on the Isle of Quel'Danas. At first, only a small section of the island will be controlled by friendlies. It requires work from the players each day to fight and overtake new sections of the island. When each new section of the island is taken over then new NPCs become available with new quests. This will continue until the entire island is controlled and sufficient supplies and such have been gathered to setup a proper staging ground for the final assault on Sunwell Plateau. It's neat! :D
