Yay, off to dig this summer on a medieval castle!

The Bamburgh Research Project has accepted me for the month of July. Shelley and Baby will come over for a week or ten days after, most likely, and we'll have some vacation together too.

At this point I'm not quite clear whether I'm a staff member, an experienced volunteer who will help staff, or a simple volunteer, and accordingly how much I may be paying to play in the dirt, if anything, but none of that really matters now.

What does matter is having settled plans and permission to go.
