I've had a lot of new beginnings in the last couple of years. I've also had a lot of thoughts going through my head...this seemed like a good place to put them out there, for better or for worse.

Let me tell you just a little about myself. I am a transplanted New Yorker, now living in Kentucky..Talk about change!

I came here 2 years ago to spend time with one of my children who had been diagnosed with cancer. Thanks to the powers that be, she is now well and cancer free.

A year following my arrival, I too was diagnosed with cancer, went through chemo, radiation and surgery and so far...so good.

Having said that, it should not be surprising that my thought process has been on overtime. Nothing like a little trauma to get your brain out of a rut.

I used to think I knew just about everything...at least that's what I told my kids...who are now all grown up. Now I realize that the older I get, the less I really know.

That's the fun of being alive...waiting to see what I'm gonna learn today...and how much of it I'll retain til tomorrow!
