2006-03-24 12:34 PM oldtimers disease is catching up! I don't know what's going on with my mind. Seems like I forget things more readily than I used to, I can't even seem to remember my password to get in here! Lord have mercy!
I'm pretty new to this computer business. You're talking to somebody who spent a lifetime on an IBM Selective typewriter...and I thought that was pretty hot stuff.
I wander around the different sites on this dang thing..and there are so many of them...sites that is, that I get lost and forget what I was looking for in the first place. One site leads to another and then another...ad infinity! You know what I'm talking about.
I guess I just don't deal well with all the new inovations..took me nearly 3 years to figure out how to work my touch tone telephone...so just forget the VCR. Before I had a chance to learn how to handle that thing, they came up with a DVD player.
I've been thinking about buying a brand new computer...this one I'm using was my daughter's but she got a new one and gave me this one so I could play some games, ya know, Solitaire, poker...etc. Well of course I couldn't leave well enough alone, so here I am in the sea of information and I have no clue what the question should be.
Please tell me I'm not alone in this quandry...there's gotta be somebody else out there who is computer illiterate.
I can just hear my number one child cackling that devilish little laugh she has when she finds my inadequacy amusing.
Just remember number one...someday you'll be old too. Like your Gramma said: " Don't get old, you're not gonna like it." I shoulda listened.
