2006-04-05 4:25 AM Ahh sweet spring.... Ah spring...a time for new beginnings. I spent a good part of the day replanting houseplants and sewing some flower seeds. Not a bad way to pass the time I'll tell ya.
One of the houseplants originally belonged to my daughter-in-law's mother. Mother passed away several years ago and this plant still survives, holding memories of those years gone by. It has been divided and replanted several times..each of the members of the family have a part of it in their homes. Several friends also enjoy the beauty of its foliage...and who knows where else this plant spreads its joy.
Isn't that a wonderous thing...what appears to be the end..is only the beginning. That's life I think..just a series of new beginnings.
I've often thought back over the times in my life when I thought the end had come. When my marriage failed, I was sure I couldn't go on...that life held no more meaning..boy was I ever wrong! I've had so many new beginnings, I've lost count!
I guess that's why I've adopted the philosophy of "blooming where I am planted". I think everything happens for a reason..there's a lesson to be learned. And..if we don't learn it the first time..we are given ample opportunites to go back to class.
Isn't life just great?
