This is my first post at Journalscape. I didn't even know this place existed until I found a few blogrolls of people and started visiting blogs and discovered several were in here. This place is pretty nice!

I am worried today, folks.

This hurricane is a bad one, and everyone knows it. It has taken over the news media and every thing else. It's really scary, and I don't know what will be left after Gustav rolls through the coast. It isn't like there is a whole lot leftover from Katrina, but this time, well, there will be even less.

I am far enough inland to avoid the wind probably, but we are going to get some of that rain, and seriously, we do not need it. I suspect we are going to have some localized flooding. Glad I live on a hill.

I have been on vacation for the last nine days and I swear I am ruined. I will never be able to get up at five thirty next week. I have slept so much that I am tired, and eaten some of the worst meals ever made. I tried to rectify some of that today by buying groceries and cooking. Hehehe. I made taco salad. Not too bad, right?

I seriously am going back on my diet starting tomorrow though. I have to go back to the doctor pretty soon, and it will be horrible when I do thanks to this decadent lifestyle.

On the writing note, I have almost finished the edits on book two, but have not gotten any new writing done on book three. Sad, isn't it? Give a girl a few days off from the day job, and she mucks up everything she can!
