Is it me or is there someone out there divining a way to stop hurricanes? I mean come on-- we can invent ways to clone things now! Surely there is a way to stop a hurricane that is going to destroy millions of dollars of goods and services??

What would it take to stop a hurricane? my first thought is something cold. I mean they thrive on tropical moisture and water that is heated hotter than I like my bathwater. Something cold... like... well, how about oxygen? Or what else? nitrogen? what is cold?

and what would happen if we dropped off a few thousand tons of a cold substance into the eye of a hurricane?

would we suddenly be building ski slopes over by the casinos in Biloxi? Would we be bringing those poor polar bears that face extinction up from the melting ice cap? Give them a nice cold place to stay?

This would be something the coast hasn't ever experienced!! snow and ice!!!
