This morning, Maggie went in to get the heat cut out of her. By all reports, she's doing well and can come home tonight.

She's now taken over the cat tree. Poor Stella. Stella takes revenge by eating Maggie's food. Which she doesn't like. Stella, that is. The food. Stella doesn't like the food but eats it to take revenge on Maggie. Maggie doesn't seem too wild about it either these days. Maybe she was anticipating this morning's procedure and went on a hunger strike to protest the nonconsensual removal of her femininity. Or maybe she wasn't too wild about the revenge, either.

Anyway, it seems that within ten months I've encouraged eating disorders in two cats.

What's a mother to do?
