I'm not calling my students "losers", rather I am rejoicing that the Los Angeles Lakers are losers. Losers! Losers! I think I am happier about the Spurs knocking off the Lakers than I am about the end of the semester.

Speaking of the NBA playoffs, CNN.com currently has a headline on its main page sports section that says Philly forces Game 7 with Detroit. What's the problem with that, you might ask? Well, when I first saw that headline, the Detroit/Philadelphia game was still in overtime. And this headline was still on the front page AFTER Detroit eliminated Philly from the playoffs. Let's face it, sports reporting is fairly objective - there are numbers and stuff to help you figure out the facts. It always disturbs me to see mistakes in reporting - this is an easy one for me to verify, but it makes me wonder how many inaccuracies get past me.
