I don't mind that the day care center parades all of the kids through the academic departments. It's cute and the noise is happy kid noise, which I can handle quite well. However, the same instructor is blasting classical music again, a Halloween prop in front of another instructor's office is saying a "funny" phrase every time someone walks by, and the people who have dressed up are laughing and cavorting at eardrum-shattering decibals. Aaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

I have students who are also going nuts from all the noise as they try to do physics outside my office. Because it's office hours, I can't put on my headphones, and I doubt the headphones would help anyways.

There had better be a fucking schload of Halloween chocolate in my future. At least if my teeth do shatter, I can let the chocolate melt in my mouth.
