My answer was, "I really don't feel comfortable with touching your shoe." As you can tell, the question was a little different from the usual astronomy lab question. I mean, the shoe seemed perfectly nice, but I really didn't want to touch his shoe.

This from a student who abbreviates half of the words in his lab reports because he's too lazy to write them out.

I was about to delete the email from AZHotSexyGuy4u until I saw that the subject line mentioned "lab class." I decided I had to open the email. It started with, "hi , this is my brothers stupid web name. He's a little different, but whatever."

Lucifer boy walked into class wearing all black, and his t-shirt had a 5 pointed star with the word fucker next to it. He looked somewhat defiant and I approached him, saying,"I hope that you won't take offense, but you have the musical taste of a 32-year old woman." He managed to laugh and look mortified at the same time. I guess he didn't expect his scary band to be his teacher's favorite. :) Apparently I was the first person all day to get the Nine Inch Nails reference. Ha!
