2004-04-24 9:13 AM Deckerd Failed Replicant School Morning all! What a big day yesterday. I wrote a short story of about 4,500 words called "El Remidio". It's about healers and coffee and independence. I am quite happy with it. My lovely Michael read it for me and loved it. Michael is so good to me. I thanked him and he said, "I'll always read anything you write." What more could I ask for? Last night Ross came over and we watched Equilibrium. Even though it wasn't necessarily anything we hadn't seen before (it was quite fun shouting out Farenheit 451 or 1984 and so forth), we enjoyed it. Of course, it did have Christian Bale in it, so how could you not? We ended up discussing character motivation and how certain characters ended up where they did. I won't summise and explain further just in case you haven't seen it, but my husband was really working pretty hard on how a character ended up in the position he did. Perhaps, my husband pondered, it was like Deckerd failing Replicant School, which leads into a different story entirely about movies, Blade Runner (duh), and science fiction in Southeastern Idaho. So I leave you with this to ponder and comment on: Did Deckerd fail Replicant School? Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
