2004-06-02 8:39 PM wtf! or bison progeny, lightsabers and tauntauns Poor "Bison's Child". I started this story at the end of April, went to Tucson for two weeks, came home very rusty, unrusted and wrote some more, rearranged my house and moved Ross in, and only just got around to writing some more. Who knows what will keep it from being finished next?
It's almost 8,000 words. I wrote 2,200 plus today. It's definitely going to need some editing. Blast! This is the second short story in three months that's grown out of itself. Grrr... So, I was doing research on knives for the story. I asked my husband and winter about using knives on animals. At one point, I specifically asked about large animals. "You want a Lightsaber," they said. "But they don't have those. Now about knives...". "How big is this animal again?" "Oh, about six feet tall, ten feet long?" "So it's a Tauntaun. Definitely a Lightsaber, especially if someone is going to hole up inside to keep out the cold." Sometimes you just gotta let it lie. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
