2004-06-03 6:45 PM la la la is for a lovely day... Today I got up and got an early shower (around 10:45 a.m.) because I got Avi preoccupied so he wouldn't tear the house apart while I got clean. I did some editing and rewriting on "El Remedio", signed up with Critters (thanks John! :)), worked on "Bison's Child", and then ran errands. I stopped by a friend's fast to "return" some eggs that I borrowed the other day and had a nice visit. I worked on the garden and made dinner: grilled chicken breasts with a fabulous honey barbecue sauce, herbed rice, and juicy sliced tomatoes with mozzarella in a balsamic herbed vinaigrette. I also barbecued a bunch of thighs so if anyone gets hungry there's always something to gnosh on in the fridge. It's getting a bit dark and breezy outside. I'm grateful for the break in the heat. It was hot and sunny today for Idaho, especially after the last month of cloudy, rainy, chilly days. Tonight I am going to do more work: I need to clean the kitchen a little, do some laundry, think about "Bison's Child" a bit more, hopefully get to some conclusions so I can do some more writing, hang out with Avadore, and read. Right now I'm in the middle of Kiernan's Silk. She does beautiful things with language and imagery. She's truly a really good writer. So there we are, my lovlies, it's a great life.
