2004-12-15 9:50 AM "Congratulations! It's a ..." Monday was the ultrasound.
It's a boy. The tech was pretty sure he was a boy when she saw he had his hands between his legs (which made my husband and me laugh and laugh and makes anyone else I tell laugh if they've spent any time with young boys), but she waited and poked around a while just to make sure. And now it's so much more real and I'm really getting excited. I had a couple of miscarriages before Avadore so it's hard for us (and the extended family) to really get excited for a while ... just in case. But now the fun begins. It's hard for me to imagine loving anyone as much as I love Avadore. Of course, I couldn't comprehend loving him as I do before he was born. And I love him more and more every day. It's been a crazy few days around here. We have some friends who have been having domestic issues. (A new couple with an infant moved in with "Mom/MIL" to save some money. There's wacky issues there anyway, and they really heated up.) We spent Monday evening calming young family at our house and then Tuesday moving them out of "Mom's". Today should be a much more normal day. Thanks goodness -- lots of stuff to do for Christmas, which we keep to a minimum anyway. Now to get stuff done and think about names.
